Alberta Vargas Montoy Alberta Montoy, 83, Salina, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2006. Mrs. Montoy was born Alberta Vargas on Feb. 11, 1922, in Salina. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by a son, Darrell Montoy, in 1970; and a daughter, Beatrice Montoy, in 1941. Survivors include her husband, Ismael, two sons, Ismael Jr. and Vincent, five daughters, Claudia Moreno, Bernadette Lee, Phyllis Krause, SanJuana Johnson and Eloise Martinez; three sisters, Julia Moralez, Lillian Sanchez and Olivia Rojas; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. A rosary will be said at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Private inurnment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Salina. Memorials may be made to Alberta Montoy Memorial Fund. |
